Eighth Notes and Rests

• Students will be able to able to read, write, and perform whole notes, half notes, quarter notes, eighth notes, off-beat eighth notes, quarter rests, half rests, and tied notes

Rotating Instrument Skills:
Percussion Instruments
and Composing

• Students will be able to play recorders, ukuleles, barred instruments (mallets), and drums with proper performance decorum and audience etiquette

• Students will be able to imitate, improvise, and write using iconic/standard notation simple rhythmic/melodic patterns on various instruments.

Elements of Music 1:
Musical Form

• Students will be able to identify, play, and compose various AB Forms (AB, Call & Response, Q&A, etc.) on various instruments
