Steady Beat:
Simple Duple Meter Beat Keeping

• Students will be able to perform a steady beat in simple duple meter to a variety of music from different cultures

• Students will be able to identify, imitate, and perform the beat of a musical work

Voice/Instrument Skills 1: Singing and Beginning Recorder

• Students will be able to sing songs by reading music and/or from memory with matching pitch and good tone.

• Students will be able to play the notes B, A, and G on recorder with a good tone.

• Students will be able to perform recorder performance decorum

Elements of the Staff

• Students will be able to identify and describe parts of the musical staff (Clef, staff lines, bar-lines, measure, end symbols, repeats, etc.)
